The lightweight fibreglass toecap provides a shield against falling objects without weighing you down and an exclusively crafted para-aramid anti-penetration protective insert developed by Activ-Step® Footwear Components helps protect your feet and provides essential on-the-job safety, whilst minimising weight. The midsole contains 61% bio-based EVA midsole and is combined with our Activ-Step® Adherence rubber outsole. The bio-based EVA is derived from sugarcane, which replaces some of the fossil-fuel derived components and is independently certified by the USDA BioPreferred® programme. The midsole provides great shock absorption properties; softening the impact on your feet and helping spread the wearers weight evenly, reducing underfoot aches and pains. The slip-resistant outsole keeps you grounded. All-day comfort, built to last. The Activ-Step® Adherence slip-resistant outsole ensures confident footing on a wide variety of surfaces, minimising the risk of accidental slips. In the RF108 Fly, the upper, lining, laces, and sock liner contains 100% GRS certified recycled polyester, certified by Control Union License number: CU1134495GRS-2023-00043945. This lightweight and sporty safety trainer offers a balance between superior performance, comfort and eco-conscious material choices. Using the SATRA TM144:2021 test method we have achieved great slip resistance with the following contaminants: Cooking Oil, Fuel Oil, Water, Glycerine and SLS (as used in most cleaning products) and on surfaces such as, Quarry Tiles, Ceramic Tiles, Steel Tiles and Vinyl Tiles.
